The classic Gibson break is our bread and butter. Glued, clamped, reinforced where needed, and finished so you have to hunt for the line.

WHY HEADSTOCKS SNAP, AND WHY THEY COME BACK STRONGER
Mahogany necks with angled headstocks carry all the string tension through one short section of grain. One fall off a stand and the break runs right through the truss rod access. It looks fatal. It almost never is.
A clean break, glued right under proper clamping pressure, holds stronger than the wood around it. Where the break is ragged or has failed before, we reinforce with splines cut into fresh wood. Then the finish work: drop fill, level, and touch-up so the repair disappears into the neck.
We do these constantly. Bring the guitar and every loose splinter you can find in the case.

Break Assessment & Dry Fit
We map the break, check for old glue contamination, and dry-fit before anything gets clamped.
Structural Glue-Up
Glue matched to the joint, clamped under controlled pressure and cured fully before tension.
Spline Reinforcement
For repeat breaks and shattered joints: hardwood splines keyed across the break line.
Finish Touch-Up
Drop fill, level, and polish. On nitro instruments we blend with nitro, period-correct.
Full Setup After Cure
String tension changes everything. Every headstock repair leaves with a fresh setup and strobe intonation.
